Boniface as a teacher

Boniface is a natural teacher. From the beginning, it was clear to me that if he could play the violin, then a lot of the pedagogy would follow naturally. It of course helps for him to observe other teachers, but in the absence of that, I think he will do just fine. The other day, the kids were having difficult understanding the “Ice Cream ____ Cone” rhythm. They were playing during the rest, or switching notes on the “cone” part instead of the “ice” part. I had them walk around the room to play “Wish I Had a Monkey,” so he had an impromptu walking session to help them learn their new rhythm. Before this video, they were unable to say the “Ice Cream Cone” rhythm correctly, and after his idea, they had it mastered in seconds.
