I seem to be online a lot more than I used to be. Without the other six teachers here, the experience is much different than last time. I am depending much more on the Kenyans around me for my social time, and I am finding that I am turning to the internet as an outlet to kill time. But it’s just killing time, not a quality experience. So I’m going to make a concerted effort to read the books I brought on my new Kindle or even sit outside and just be.

The upside to all of this down-time is that it is turning me into a practicer! I’ve taken out my cello every day that I’ve had it with me, and have practiced quite a bit.
